Cancellation, Refunds and Fee Schedule

Setup and website refunds

Before work starts, the SHLAE service fee is refundable in full. After work starts, we refund the unused fee, deducting only documented work completed under this schedule. Partially completed stages are prorated to actual recorded work, capped at that stage’s amount; total deductions never exceed the service fee.

Separately authorized third-party purchases are deducted only to the extent genuinely nonrecoverable, with an itemized explanation. Ordinary provider commitments made by SHLAE to supply our advertised monthly hosting are SHLAE’s responsibility, not an undisclosed annual customer debt.

Hosting and optional management

SHLAE hosting: Lite 4 GB $29/month; Lite 8 GB $49/month; Cloud 12 GB $79/month. Optional management $79/month. Checkout collects the first month alongside the service fee. Hosting starts at provisioning; management starts at handover. We confirm paid-through dates in writing. Future periods are invoiced separately; your card is not automatically charged.

Cancel future months at any time before the next paid period begins. Service ordinarily continues through the paid period; an already started month is not prorated except for undelivered agreed service or where law requires. Unstarted hosting or management months are refundable. Cancelling management alone does not stop separately paid hosting. Your existing provider’s service must be cancelled with that provider if you want to end it.

Late payment and suspension

Renewal invoices are sent at least 14 days before the paid period ends, with a reminder at least seven days before that date. Payment is due by the paid-through date. If management is unpaid, management pauses at that date; paid hosting continues. If SHLAE hosting is unpaid, it may be suspended at the paid-through date after the advance warning. We do not promise a free hosting grace period. New work pauses while its invoice is overdue.

A final notice will specify the suspension date, available export options and earliest provider termination date. Where an earlier infrastructure or security deadline applies, we disclose it promptly. Suspension can make websites unavailable. Provider termination can permanently delete server data; arrange an export while the server is still available. No fixed post-termination backup retention is promised.

Missing information or abandoned projects

If requested content, approval or access has not arrived within seven calendar days, we notify you that work and the delivery clock are paused. After 30 days without a response, we send a closure notice and an itemized statement, and refund the unused service fee under the stage schedule. Paid hosting is not cancelled solely because you stop responding about a build. You can restart with a new schedule.

Extra work and restart fees

Additional work costs $50/hour in 15-minute increments, only after you accept the scope and estimate. Routine reactivation has no fee. A $25 restoration/reprovisioning fee applies only when technical restoration is actually required and you approve it beforehand; additional recovery work or provider charges require a separate accepted estimate. No late-payment penalty or automatic abandonment charge applies.

Exit, disputes and refunds

We coordinate export or transfer before the agreed hosting end date and confirm whether transfer work has any approved fee. Keep independent backups. If agreed work is defective, tell us so we can correct it; undelivered agreed work is refundable if it cannot be completed. Nothing limits mandatory legal rights.

Approved refunds are submitted to the original payment method within 10 business days; payment-provider processing may take longer. Earlier data, publication and lead purchases retain their original terms.
