Terms and Conditions

Effective October 4, 2026. These terms apply to website and VPS services provided by Stone Hill Learning and Energy Systems LLC (SHLAE), USA. Contact details appear in the contact image below; you can also use our contact form.

Services and written scope

We provide VPS configuration, WordPress migration, staging demonstrations, and optional ongoing management. Your accepted quote or order specifies deliverables, resources, fees, schedule, and support hours. Additional work requires your agreement.

Third-party hosting and ownership

SHLAE does not currently own VPS servers or data-center infrastructure. “Our VPS” means third-party hosting arranged and managed by SHLAE. We can configure a compatible VPS with your preferred provider. The provider operates the underlying infrastructure and its service and acceptable-use terms also apply.

You retain ownership of your domain, website content, and data, subject to third-party software licences. A VPS is a rented service, not purchased hardware. Provider accounts in your name remain yours. If hosting is held under SHLAE’s provider account, your agreement explains access and transfer options; provider-account ownership itself is not transferred automatically.

Pricing and software

The included Linux operating system and free management panel carry no licence fee. VPS hosting and SHLAE services are paid. Domains, optional premium software, taxes where applicable, and extra resource requirements are disclosed separately. “From” prices require a written quote confirming capacity and total costs before purchase.

Demonstration and migration

We show a separate working demonstration before live changes and obtain your approval for migration. You must have authority to supply the content and access. We agree on a backup and rollback plan, DNS changes, and any maintenance window. DNS propagation and third-party behavior may affect availability; zero downtime is not guaranteed.

Management and support

Self-managed plans make you responsible for ongoing updates, security, backups, and administration after handover. Managed plans include only the maintenance and support stated in your agreement. Automated monitoring may run continuously; personal support follows agreed hours. Texts can be sent anytime but immediate responses are not guaranteed. Emergency response commitments apply only if agreed in writing.

Security and backups

We apply reasonable safeguards within the agreed scope. No system is guaranteed immune to attacks, scams, spam, outages, or data loss. Backup location, retention, and restoration arrangements are confirmed in writing. Changes by customers or third parties can require additional work.

Access and confidentiality

Access is arranged securely. Do not send passwords through a public contact form. We use customer access and data to deliver the agreed service and do not sell credentials. At handover or termination we arrange removal of unneeded service access.

Published packages and billing

Setup $149; setup with one standard WordPress migration up to 5 GB $249; a five-page SMB website with server setup and editing lesson $499. SHLAE monthly hosting: Lite 4 GB $29, Lite 8 GB $49, Cloud 12 GB $79. Optional management $79/month covers one VPS, one nominated standard WordPress site and 30 minutes routine support. Extra approved work $50/hour in 15-minute increments. Server resources limit capacity, with no fixed website-count licence limit; additional site installation and maintenance are separate work.

First-month hosting and selected management are collected with the order. Future months use separate invoices, with no automatic card charges. Customer monthly hosting has no annual commitment. You select the services; no paid upgrade is applied without agreement.

Billing, cancellation, and exit

Monthly service is invoiced separately unless you explicitly authorize recurring billing. You may cancel future service by email or the contact form. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains refunds. We coordinate an export or transfer before agreed hosting termination. Do not stop provider service before preserving your data.

Acceptable use and service limits

You are responsible for lawful website content and compliance with your provider’s terms. We may pause work to address unauthorized access, unlawful activity, or immediate security threats, and notify you where practicable. We do not promise specific sales, search rankings, uninterrupted uptime, or absolute security.

Issues and applicable rights

Contact us promptly about a service problem so we can investigate and seek a practical resolution. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Earlier data and publication purchases remain subject to the terms supplied with those orders.
